Yangdup Lama, one of India’s premier bartenders, founded Cocktails and Dreams in 2000.

Enhancements to the courses include the provision of a 1-month bar internship to students of the Bar Stars and Bar Masters courses. Our students are currently interning at prestigious bars in the NCR region, including Perch, PCO, ATM, Speakeasy and Social. This internship helps give the students a real life perspective of working in a bar.

Another innovation is the launch of a Master Class series for all alumni of the Bar School. The first Master Class was held in January, and was conducted by Ishaan Puri, co-founder and Director of White Rhino, one of India’s best known and fastest growing brands of craft beer. February sees Tarun Rana, brand ambassador in India for Da Vinci syrups conduct a master class on “The Role of Flavour in mixology”.

Cocktails and Dreams have also begun an outreach with hotel management colleges first in the NCR region, and then in Chandigarh, Punjab and Rajasthan, with an effort to enhance the skills of students of hospitality management. First workshops were recently held to excellent response in Delhi Institute of Hotel Management (DIHM), and Ansal University, Gurgaon. Workshops in other colleges are currently being scheduled. Our faculty are also being invited by leading hotel management colleges to act as jury members for their internal bartending competitions.
