According to the Deutsches Weininstitut GmbH (DWI), Germany’s total exports to China in the year to May 2017 increased by 27.3% in volume compared to the previous year.
With a total of 3.7 million litres, worth about €16 million, the total value of the exports increased by 23.6% over the same period, making China Germany’s fourth-largest wine export market.
China accounted for 5.6% of Germany’s total export value and 37.3% of the total volume .
