After 98 bottles of Johnnie Walker scotch disappeared from Punjab State Drug Food and Chemical Testing Laboratory in Kharar, Punjab chief minister Capt Amarinder Singh has ordered an inquiry. The CM directed the director general of police to get the matter investigated and submit the report within two weeks, according to a press release issued by his office, after reports of the disappearance were published in a section of the media. The said bottles had been deposited with the lab as sample of liquor seized by the state police. The incident came to light when a raid was carried out by the vigilance department on a complaint about irregularities at the lab.
